Lent in the Adult Forum

For the five Sundays of Lent we have a special treat.

Professor Charles H. Melchert will speak on February 21, March 7, and March 21. A lifelong Lutheran, Chuck retired as Dean of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, served as Executive Secretary of the Association of Professors and Researchers of Religious Education, and taught the introductory doctoral seminar at Lancaster Theological Seminary for many years. He's the author of Wise Teaching: Biblical Wisdom and Educational Ministry (Continuum, 1998).

Professor Melchert's talks are entitled, "The Beginning of Wisdom." We'll reflect on the biblical wisdom traditions and how they may help us understand -- and perhaps redirect -- our lives.

On February 28 and March 14 our own Rev. Robert Kurz, a retired Lutheran pastor, will guide two sessions on "Lenten Spirituality." How does the Lenten story speak to our own spiritual journeys, as well as to our journey together as the people of Trinity?
